The K&K Philharmonic Orchestra are bringing their first UK tour to the Victoria Theatre Halifax

Live classical music is returning to the Victoria Theatre Halifax on Monday 7 October when the renowned K&K Philharmonic Orchestra bring the Salzburg Mozart Gala on their first UK tour.

With its selected choice of masterpieces, that have long since become unmistakable earworms, the Salzburg Mozart Gala is a must-see for classical music enthusiasts. The programme includes excerpts of works such as Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Don Giovanni or The Marriage of Figaro. “Mozart's music is so pure and beautiful that I regard it as the inner beauty of the universe itself”, Albert Einstein once emphasized.  The homage of the K&K Philharmonic to the Salzburg genius promises an unforgettable experience, bursting with playful virtuosity and musical sophistication.

Bearing the initials of its Austrian founder, Matthias Georg Kendlinger and his wife Larissa, this renowned orchestra recalls the golden age of the Danube Monarchy with its magnificent tradition of music.  More than 30 CD recordings and TV programmes and around 100 concerts performed across Europe every year have made the K&K Philarmonic Orchestra what it is today; one of the world’s foremost privately funded symphony orchestras.

Musical direction comes from Austrian impresario, conductor, composer and founder Matthias Georg Kendlinger. His ensemble has earned him rapturous standing ovations across Europe, most notably in the concert halls of Madrid, Lisbon, Oslo, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin and Vienna. Kendlinger’s extensive discography includes recordings of Beethoven, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, the Strauss dynasty and of course Mozart, as well as the first of his own works, which can also be heard as part of an exclusive festival.  Conductor Maximilian Kendlinger will alternate with his father Matthias Georg Kendlinger at the podium.
