Salt Lake Comic Con
My Role: Account Planner, Writer
Insight: Cosplay is a lifestyle. Nerds want an escape from the ordinary.
Salt Lake Comic Con wanted a miniseries for YouTube so we created a superhero late night talk show. With such a small production team everyone helped with the sets, costumes, and casting.
What if Darth Vader worked the cash register? We really just wanted to get people’s reactions to seeing Darth Vader at a taco shop.
I originally wrote for Batman and Superman approaching unsuspecting people on the streets of Salt Lake City and going head to head in a epic piggyback race but apparently that’s illegal. Then I thought, what if they just carried people across the street? Sadly it was shot down again. In the end we had a lemonade stand competition.
